Cave Escape Room: Progress report 1

So far, progress has been bumpy, but things are starting to take shape. I've constructed a simplified gameplay map, detailing the general layout of the demo area, as well as where gameplay items and obstacles will appear. this map has been developed by our artist into a full top-down minimap, detailing the more curved and intricate final design we intend to make. However, our level designer has yet to create a grey-box  map of the area, so we have no certainty as to when the game will be in a playable state.

I have also designed the four puzzles that will appear in the demo, and our programmer has seen progress designing the first of these puzzles. However, semi-frequent absences have cast doubt upon the project, and how long it will take to finish the puzzles, an especially frightening concept considering that the demo needs to be in a presentable state post-new year.

Considering that there is little left to design, and nothing yet to playtest, it's been a struggle to find myself something to do in the past few days. Still, the show must go on, and work must continue.
